Definition of personal data
The term personal data is defined in the German Federal Data Protection Act. According to this, these are individual details about personal or factual circumstances of a specific or identifiable natural person. This includes, for example, your real name, your address, your telephone number or your date of birth.
In the basic EU data protection regulation (DSGVO), personal data are defined as follows:
All information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person (hereinafter "data subject"); an identifiable natural person is one who can be identified directly or indirectly, in particular by reference to an identifier such as a name, an identification number, location data, an online identifier or to one or more factors specific to the physical, physiological, genetic, mental, economic, cultural or social identity of that natural person.
Legal basis for the collection of personal data
Insofar as we obtain your consent for the processing of personal data, Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR serves as the legal basis for the processing of your personal data.
When processing your personal data to fulfil a contract between you and d&b audiotechnik, Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. b GDPR serves as the legal basis. This also applies to processing operations that are necessary to carry out pre-contractual measures.
Insofar as the processing of personal data is required to fulfil a legal obligation to which our company is subject, Art. 6 para. 1 lit. c GDPR serves as the legal basis.
If processing is necessary to safeguard a legitimate interest of our company or a third party and if the interests, fundamental rights and freedoms of the data subject do not outweigh the first-mentioned interest, Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR serves as the legal basis for processing.
Data erasure and storage time
The personal data of the person concerned will be deleted or blocked as soon as the purpose of storage ceases to apply. Furthermore, data may be stored if this has been provided for by the European or national legislator in EU regulations, laws or other provisions to which the person responsible is subject. The data will also be blocked or deleted if a storage period prescribed by the aforementioned standards expires, unless there is a need for further storage of the data for the conclusion or fulfilment of a contract.

If this involves information on communication channels (e.g. e-mail address, telephone number), you also agree that we may contact you via this communication channel in order to respond to your request.

We use the Pardot Marketing Automation System ("Pardot MAS") from Pardot LLC, 950 E. Paces Ferry Rd. Suite 3300 Atlanta, GA 30326, USA ("Pardot") on our web pages. Pardot is a product of the Salesforce Group for recording and evaluating user behavior on websites. If you have given your consent to use Pardot in our Cookie Preference Manager in accordance with article 6 (1) a) GDPR when visiting our website, Pardot records your click path by setting cookies in your browser and creates an individual pseudonymous user profile. Please note that if you leave personal data on our website, this data will be merged with the created user profile via Pardot. Pardot then carries out a comparison with our CRM system Salesforce and, if a data record exists, adds the user profile to the customer record or creates a new record for prospects.Pardot processes any personal data that may have been collected exclusively on our behalf and according to our instructions within the framework of a data processing agreement and standard contractual clauses. However, this can lead to certain restrictions of the functions and the user-friendliness of our offer.
Marketing Automation Cookies
We use these cookies from third parties to track your user behavior on our website. From the moment you leave personal data on the website (e.g. by using the contact form, or subscribing to the newsletter), your user behavior is merged with existing entries in our Salesforce CRM system and with newsletter tracking data. The profiling data is than stored in the CRM system and used in order to be able to send you targeted advertising and offers that meet your interests.
Newsletter dispatch and success measurement with Pardot
Pardot by the Pardot LLC (950 E. Paces Ferry Rd. Suite 3300 Atlanta, GA 30326, USA) is also used to dispatch and measure the success of our newsletter. The legal basis is article 6 (1) a) GDPR. We use the so-called "double opt-in" procedure to subscribe to our newsletter. This means that after you have entered your e-mail address, we will send you a confirmation e-mail to the e-mail address provided, in which we ask you to confirm that you wish to receive the newsletter. If you do not confirm this within 30 days, your registration will be deleted. If you confirm your wish to receive the newsletter, we will store your e-mail address until you unsubscribe from the newsletter. The storage serves the sole purpose of sending you the newsletter. Furthermore, we store your IP address and the time of registration and confirmation in order to prevent misuse of your personal data. Mandatory information for sending the newsletter are your Address, email address, surname and first name, company, city and country. The provision of further, separately marked information is voluntary and is only used to personalise the newsletter. This data will also be completely deleted upon revocation. We would like to point out that we evaluate your user behaviour when sending the newsletter. We use Pardot as an analysis tool for this purpose. The evaluation is carried out via so-called "web-beacons" in the newsletter e-mails sent. Web-beacons are small graphics in the e-mail, which enable a log file recording and log file analysis when opening the e-mail. For the analysis Pardot links the data for the registration of the e-mail newsletter and the information from the "web-beacons" with your e-mail address and an individual ID. The evaluations serve the purpose to recognize the reading habits of our users and to send content according to their interests. You can revoke your consent to the sending of the newsletter at any time by clicking on the link provided in each newsletter e-mail, or by contacting the data protection officer at the contact details below. Your data will not be passed on to third parties other than pardot/salesforce.

External service providers and partner companies only receive your data if this is necessary to process their request. In these cases, however, the scope of the transmitted data is limited to the required minimum. As far as our service providers come into contact with your personal data, we ensure that they comply with the regulations of the data protection laws in the same way. Please also note the respective data protection information of the providers. The respective service provider is responsible for the contents of external services, whereby we check the services within the scope of reasonability for compliance with legal requirements.

In addition, we only use pseudonymous tracking.
Google Analytics
This website uses Google Analytics. In accordance with the agreement between Google and the Hamburg Representative for Data Protection and Freedom of Information, Google Analytics may be used in accordance with data protection regulations and without objection under certain conditions. In particular, we would like to point out that on this website Google Analytics has been extended to include the IP masking function "_gat._anonymizeIp" in order to guarantee anonymous recording of IP addresses via the Google Tag Manager.
Please also note the following information on the use of Google Analytics:
Google Analytics uses cookies which are stored on your computer and which enable an analysis of your use of the website. The information generated by the cookie about your use of the website will generally be transmitted to and stored by Google on servers in the United States. However, by activating IP anonymisation on this website, your IP address will be shortened by Google in advance within member states of the European Union or in other contracting states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA where it will be shortened. On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information for the purpose of evaluating your use of the website, compiling reports on website activity and providing other services to website operators relating to website activity and internet usage.
The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics is not combined with other data from Google.
Once remarketing and promotional reporting features are enabled in Analytics, Analytics collects demographic and interest data from the following sources:
DoubleClick cookie: Analytics collects all demographic and interest information made available by the cookie when you use the web browser.
Android Advertising ID: When the analytics tracking code is implemented in an Android app, the device's advertising ID is collected. Analytics generates an identifier based on the ID. This identifier contains information about demographics and interests resulting from user app activity and is used to enhance the attractiveness of our app.
iOS Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA): When the analytics tracking code is implemented in an iOSApp, the device's IDFA is captured. In Analytics, an identifier is generated based on the IDFA. This identifier contains information about demographics and interests resulting from user app activity and is used to enhance the attractiveness of our app.
Analytics cannot collect demographic and interest data if the DoubleClick cookie or device advertising ID is not present or no activity profile is included.
You may refuse the use of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings on your browser, however please note that if you do this you may not be able to use the full functionality of this website. In addition, you can prevent Google from collecting the data generated by the cookie and related to your use of the website (including your IP address) and Google from processing this data by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available at the following link: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
Alternatively, you can also prevent the collection by Google Analytics by clicking on the following link. An opt-out cookie is set to prevent your data from being collected in the future when you visit this website: . The opt-out cookie applies only to this browser and only to this domain. Google Signals
This website uses the function "Google Signals". The Google Signals advertising feature is designed to provide additional information about users of the site who use different devices. Google uses data from users who have signed in to their Google Account and enabled the "personalized advertising" option. This information will be used to provide aggregate and anonymous statistics about the behavior of users of this site across multiple devices. No user IDs are assigned, the reports do not allow us to draw any conclusions about the identity of individual visitors.
If visitors to this website are logged into their Google account, Google may be able to identify these visitors. In addition, Google may use the user data for the display of personalised advertising if the user has previously consented to this function. If you do not wish this to happen, you can deactivate this function at any time in the Google settings (https://adssettings.google.com). Alternatively, you can make use of the extensive opt-out option of the advertising network initiative (https://optout.networkadvertising.org).
Remarketing or "similar target group" function of Google Inc.
This website uses Google's Google Ads remarketing or "similar target group" function. This feature is designed to provide targeted product recommendations and interest-based advertising to users of our site and other users with similar interests based on their online user behavior when they visit other sites on the Google Display Network or perform a Google search. When our advertisements are displayed on these sites, we receive information about how often our ad was viewed, how many clicks and visits were generated by a particular ad, and what content was viewed when you clicked on an ad on our site.
The basis of this interest-based advertising is an analysis of online user behavior. Google uses cookies to perform this analysis.
Cookies are used to record visits to the website by means of a unique identification of a web browser on a particular computer and not to identify a person. All data is stored by using a pseudonym, so that a conclusion on the person of the user and thus a personal identification is not easily possible.
Further information on Google Remarketing or "Similar target groups" can be found at: https://support.google.com/google-ads/answer/2676774.
You can view Google's privacy policy at: https://policies.google.com/privacy.
Google Ads
In order to draw attention to our services, we place Google Ads ads and use Google Conversion Tracking and the Google Tag Manager for the purpose of personalised, interest- and location-based online advertising. The option to anonymize IP addresses is controlled by the Google Tag Manager via an internal setting that is not visible in the source of this page. This internal setting is set so that the anonymisation of the IP addresses required by the German Federal Data Protection Act is achieved.
Ads appear after searches on Google Network web pages. We have the possibility to combine our ads with certain search terms. Cookies enable us to serve ads based on a user's previous visits to our website.
When you click on an ad, Google sets a cookie on your computer. Further information on the cookie technology used can also be found in Google's notes on website statistics and in the privacy policy.
With the help of this technology, Google and we as customers receive information that a user has clicked on an ad and has been redirected to our websites. The information obtained in this way is used exclusively for statistical evaluation for ad optimization. We do not receive any information that personally identifies visitors. The statistics provided to us by Google include the total number of users who clicked on one of our ads and, if applicable, whether they were forwarded to a page of our website with a conversion tag. On the basis of these statistics we can trace the search terms for which our advertisement was clicked particularly often and which advertisements lead to contact by the user via the contact form.
The information obtained in this way is transferred to our CRM system via the Google ClickID via an interface (Web to Lead).
If you do not wish to do so, you can prevent the storage of the cookies required for these technologies, for example via the settings of your browser. In this case, your visit is not included in the user statistics.
You can also use the ad settings to select Google ad types or disable interest-based ads on Google. Alternatively, you can disable the use of cookies by third parties by using the Network Advertising Initiative's disabling tool.
However, we and Google continue to receive statistical information on how many users visited this page and when. If you do not want to be included in these statistics either, you can prevent this by using additional programs for your browser (for example, the Ghostery add-on).
Google Looker Studio
We use Looker Studio, a service of Google Inc., USA (1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA, "Google") on our website.

Google Tag Manager
For reasons of transparency, we would like to point out that we use the Google Tag Manager. The Google Tag Manager itself does not collect any personally identifiable information. The Tag Manager makes it easier for us to integrate and manage our tags. Tags are small pieces of code used, among other things, to measure traffic and visitor behavior, capture the impact of online advertising and social channels, set up remarketing and targeting, and test and optimize websites. If you have made a opt-out, the Google Tag Manager will take that opt-out into account. For more information about the Google Tag Manager, click here: https://www.google.com/intl/de/tagmanager/use-policy.html
